The route from an empty setlist to one you can perform from: add, order, then settle each song.

Get a Setlist Ready for the Show

Putting songs, spoken notes, and instrument changes in one sequence means less searching for the next score on stage. Start by putting your songs in order and checking that their scores open. Prepare backing audio or automatic page turns only for songs that need them.

Put the Songs in Order and Try the Sequence

  1. Create a setlist named after the show or rehearsal in Setlists.
  2. Add songs in Setlist Detail. Choose Where to Add From helps you choose between files, photos, and songs you have already prepared.
  3. Arrange the order and add Setlist Memos where you need a reminder for an announcement or instrument change.
  4. Open the songs in order. Check that the required pages are present and you can move to the next song. Adjust page ranges or display choices in Item Settings where needed.

Reusing a prepared song also reuses its audio and page-turn setup. Changing that song's audio, tempo, or page range affects other setlists that use it. If this performance needs different musical settings, first see how to use an independent song in Pick an Existing Song or Score. Display-only changes have a different scope.

Finish Only What You Need

For songs played with backing audio, continue with Automatic Page Turns. For readability or annotations, see Prepare the Performance View. You do not need to configure features you will not use.

Before the show, run the sequence on the tablet and equipment you will use. If you use backing audio, check repeats and the end of the song as well as its opening.
