Adjust timeline display, stop behavior, aligning cues and playback position to beats, and the default bar-number correction. The defaults are fine for most users.
Timeline Settings
Use this screen when you want to see progress toward a page turn, repeat a passage after stopping, or place cues on beats. If the current display and controls work for your practice, you do not need to change them.
Open Timeline Details in Global Settings. These settings provide app-wide display and control defaults. To prepare one song's audio or cue times, use Item Settings.
Choose by What You Want to Change
Display
Use these options to see playback position or progress toward the next page turn. Keep only the displays you need if you want more room for the score.
Timeline progress bar shows progress toward the next page turn or cue in paged displays. Turn it off if you find it distracting.
Timeline display controls the strip showing audio or timer time, cues, and playback position.
- When Needed: Show it when needed in a song that uses a timeline.
- Always: Keep playback position and cues visible while playing or checking a song.
- Hidden: Leave more room for the score. This does not delete the timeline you prepared.
After choosing, open a song you normally use and check the display. If controls you need are hidden, return here and restore your previous choice.
Playback
Choose Return to Start on Stop according to whether you want to repeat the same passage or continue checking from where you stopped.
When on, stopping or reaching the end returns to where this playback began. If you started in the middle, it returns to that position. When off, the position stays where you stopped. Play and stop in the middle of a song, then check that the position is where you want to begin next. Pause and stop are separate actions.
Editing Aids
These options help match cues to beats and printed bar numbers when preparing a song. You do not need to change them just to perform.
Turn Snap to Beat on to align playback-position moves and cue additions or drags to nearby beats while the metronome is enabled. Turn it off for freely timed cues or audio with fluctuating beats. Move one cue and check whether it lands on the beat you intend.
Default Bar Number Correction sets the bar-number display baseline for new songs. Use it when a pickup or introduction makes the count differ from the printed score. It does not change playback position or cue times. To correct an existing song's numbering, check that song's settings.
If a Cue Does Not Line Up
Display settings alone do not correct cue times or destinations. Check the cue's position and tempo reference in Timeline Cue Detail. Note the settings before adjusting them, change one at a time, and replay the same passage.
