Store large score, audio, and annotation files in internal storage or PagePilot's private area on an SD card.
Android Data Storage Location
When your Android device is short on space, you can move scores, audio, and related files together to an SD card. If internal storage has enough room, you do not need to change the location.
Choose one location: Internal Storage or SD Card. Scores, audio, annotations, and other files move together; you cannot put just one song on the card. Song names and setlists remain available in the app when you choose SD Card.
Before Moving the Files
First back up app data and save the backup somewhere other than the SD card. Moving to a card is not a substitute for a backup.
- While the card is removed, PagePilot's normal functions are unavailable. Keep your performance card in the device.
- Do not remove the card or turn the device off during copying.
- Formatting makes even the same physical card count as a different storage location; the previous data will not open automatically.
- Uninstalling PagePilot or clearing app data in Android settings may also delete PagePilot's dedicated data on the card.
This feature does not let you choose an arbitrary shared folder or USB drive. It uses the dedicated PagePilot area Android provides on the SD card.
Change the Storage Location
- Open Data Storage Location in Global Settings.
- Choose the destination, then read its available space and the warnings before continuing.
- Keep the card in place until copying finishes and follow the restart instructions. If automatic restart fails, fully quit the app and open it again.
- Check that Data Storage Location shows the new location, then open a score and an audio file you use.
The app copies files while keeping the originals, then checks file counts, sizes, and contents before switching locations. After restart, it checks the new location before deleting the old copies. To return to internal storage, choose Internal Storage on the same screen.
If the Move Stops or the Card Is Missing
If copying or validation fails, the original location is kept. If a recovery screen appears, do not delete data or overwrite another card. Follow the instructions matching the screen's heading.
For SD Card Not Found, reconnect the original card used for storage and select Try Again. PagePilot does not automatically switch to another card or internal storage.
