The route for choosing what plays where, balancing the sources, and fixing sound that arrives late.

Set Up Where Your Sound Goes

For practice at home, start with a comfortable level through your usual speaker or headphones. On stage, you may want backing audio to reach the audience while only performers hear the click. If you use one output, you do not need to set up two.

Mixer Settings controls the destinations and levels for backing audio, metronome, voice count, and keyboard sound.

Choose Who Needs to Hear Each Sound

Check Level, Destination, Then Timing

  1. Choose the equipment and sounds sent to it in Mixer Settings. Start quietly when trying an output for the first time.
  2. Listen through the actual speaker or headphones. With separate audience and performer outputs, check both and confirm the click and voice count do not reach the audience.
  3. Only after sound is working, use Output Device Latency if the audible click and visible beat do not line up.

You do not need to start with details such as sample rate. Checking where the sound goes and its level first helps isolate the problem.

If You Cannot Hear Sound Now

Use the ordered no-sound checks in Mixer Settings. If a call or another app interrupted playback, see the interruption guidance on that page. Standalone or parent playback pauses, while a following child Viewer can have its audio interrupted; their recovery differs.

If only one song's audio starts at the wrong time, check its audio start timing rather than adjusting latency for every song using the output device.
